JUDO
the Olympic sport of Judo. the ultimate clinch & takedown art is taught here by Gus Carper, a 7th degree blackbelt with OVER 50 years experience in JUDO & is one of the highest ranking, most sought after instructors in America! Gus is in the Blackbelt hall of fame & recieved his instruction from the legendary Ishikawa, an original member of the Kodokan, a 2 time all japan champion in Judo, & one of the original ambassadors of the art.
This class has 7 BLACKBELT instructors available to you at different times.
BRAZILIAN or GRACIE JIU JITSU
The martial art that revolutionized fighting all over the world. We are the ONLY facility in the valley that offers this program! others will tell you that they teach Japanese Ju Jutsu or advertise grappling & that it is the same but it IS NOT. They will also tell you that they trained at a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school for 6 months & that makes them eligible to teach, but again, it does not. We are the ONLY CERTIFIED Brazilian/Gracie Jiu Jitsu school in the Roanoke Valley with an ACTUAL GRACIE JIU JITSU BLACKBELT INSTRUCTOR. Following the strict teachimg methods of Grand Master Helio Gracie & Prof. Pedro Sauer, Hybrid offers the highest quality of Jiu Jitsu instruction in the valley.
